We took Lyza to the Children's Museum downtown this weekend. It was not great, but Lyza had a lot of fun. There is another one in a city near here that a lot of people have said is really good so hopefully we will get to go visit that one soon.
Also, little Lyza started ballet class last friday. More pics to come of this soon. I showed her Krista's post of Ally dancing and she said she wanted to dance like Ally. So I restarted the video and cranked the music, but she just stood there semi-swaying, acting totally shy. I got on youtube and found a video of the Nutcracker ballet. After watching different clips for about 15 minutes, she asked to put her ballet clothes on, turned up the Sugar Plum Fairies song and danced and twirled and balleted (yes, I made this word up, but it works, no?) all over the house. Have any of you out there seen Xanadu? I was thinking of how different Ally and Lyza's dance preferences were and it made me think of the scene where they are daydreaming about how the club will be, and Sonny has visions of rock and roll where Gene Kelly has visions of jazz and big band music.
Peter is doing well. The meds really seem to be helping his reflux so now we just need to degassify (yes, another made up word) him and he would be great. The more he grows, the more I think he looks like Brian, but I think he may keep my blue eyes :)

Peter's gettin' so big! What a doll! The children's museum looks pretty good to me. There wasn't anything around like that when my kids were growing up. And Lyza looks like she knows how to shop for a large family. Did they teach her how to stretch her food dollars? Couponing? (A made-up word, just like yours :)
P.S. Peter really DOES look like Brian.
i agree about the brian. i also enjoy the new language you seem to be creating. keep doing it.
also, i get very giddy when my blog roll informs me that you've posted. and then i read it too fast and it's over and i'm a little sad.
maybe i should train myself to read slower.

Peter does look like Brian. Elyza is a darling princess no matter where she is and I agree with Lauren, but I think she should practice what she preaches. :-). I'd love to see more Diaz blogs also.
She's not that little...he is really just that big!
