Today Brian and I were both on the computer so I let Elyza color with a brown marker, reminding her that we only color on the paper. I look over a few minutes later and this is what I see! I said, "Oh, Elyza Jo!" and she responds "I'm a kitty mama."
I love how Elyza crosses her legs like this. She does it all the time, and the cutest is when she is sitting on her potty.
She came in in this getup the other day and says, "Look, I'm Daddy."
*San Antonio Update
Brian loves his job and everyone he works with. We are starting to feel more comfortable with where we are going and how to get there. It can be really confusing, no mountains to tell you where East is, no Columbia river to mark where North is, just pretty much flat and trees for as far as you can see. But we are settling in, and best yet, not a roach to be seen in the past week!! Yahoo! I had my first doc appointment and found out I have to deliver c-section again, which I am none too excited about, but it will be planned a week before the baby is due, so at least we won't have to wait and wonder, and we find out the sex of the baby in three weeks!! So, for those of you planning on visiting, it should happen around the 8th of Feb., and we soooooo welcome visitors, though you may have to sleep in the hallway :)

No marker on the carpet? That, my dear, is R.E.A.S.O.N. T.O. C.E.L.E.B.R.A.T.E.!!!
Can't wait to see if your little kitty is going to have a brother or a sister. Three weeks? Oh, that's so long to wait! Are we there yet?
And, another reason to celebrate: NO ROACHES. Honey, your life just gets better and better!
I will sleep in the hallway!!!
me too!
i laughed to hear you say, "OH, Elyza JO!" because over here it's the same..."OH, ALLY!" Little caught on to that phrase and now beats us to it when she does something naughty. my heart jumps when i hear her say, "OH, Ally!" as I race to see what she's done.
Congrats on the due date(s)! Almost exactly Liv's due date. Maybe they'll share a birfday...new baby Halverson, Liv, Coy, etc.
P.S. Have you searched for any doctors in your insurance who will attempt the so-called "V-back?" A lot of docs play it safe b/c of malpractice concerns, but there are usually docs to be found who will respect your wishes. Worth a few calls if you haven't already tried. A girl in my ward just had a regular birth after cesarean.
Maybe baby Lewis and baby Halvy will be born on the same day! Wouldn't that be fun????
Yes Shawn, I would love that!!
And K, I have to do the c-section, I am just a little too narrow for a little one to squeak through :(
Glad to hear things are working out great for you all!! What a cute little kitty you have. I didn't know you guys had a cat!
Can't wait to hear what the baby is! Autumn's b-day is feb 6th, so you could shoot for that instead?!!
well, better too narrow than too wide, eh?
ha ha.
anyway, thank heaven for modern meds.
So, do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet? If it's a boy you totally have to name them Nate since he'll be born on my B-Day. Glad to hear things are going well and Bri's enjoying his new position. (Nate)
