Just wanted to share some funny things Elyza has said lately before I forget them :)
While driving to pick up Daddy yesterday:
L: Mom, what is that?
M: An airplane?
L: Um, no, try again.
We went to get an ice cream cone from McD's and I asked for it to be really small, and they gave me a huge one. After voicing my annoyance:
L: What's wrong Mom?
M: I asked them for a small ice cream for you and they didn't listen.
L: Oh, I see your problem.
M: (Laughing) Really? What is it?
L: Um, it's over there (pointing in a random direction)
Lyza has been having a hard time sleeping in her new room, so she has been waking up in the middle of the night again. Brian went in the other night and after an hour I switched him out.
L: Mom, I need some milk.
M: Really Lyza? Right now?
L: (With a concerned look on her face) Mom, don't get ferusterated.
While playing with Daddy the other day:
L: Daddy, what are you doing?
B: I'm stirring the fudge.
L: (With big eyes) Are you kidding me Dad?
Yesterday Lyza had to go in to see her doctor.
D: So tell me what's been going on.
M: Lyza has had a stuffy, runny nose for three weeks now.
L: (Loud and very serious) THREE weeks doctor!
She cracks me up. She picks up on everything!
A little update:
We are in our new apartment which is so much nicer than the old one!! A bit smaller, but we are on the ground floor and haven't seen one cockroach since we've been here (knock on wood). It's cute and cozy and has vaulted ceilings so it appears much bigger than it actually is. Peter comes Feb. 5 and is scheduled for 7:30 that morning. Brian had guessed that he would arrive at 7:38 before even knowing when we were scheduled so we'll see how close he gets. Could happen. My Mom will be home with Lyza and hopefully we will all be home by that Sunday. Elyza is super excited for her little brother to come, though fairly annoyed she can't play in his swing, crib, carseat, etc. Brian has been pretty busy at work lately but he loves it and really loves the people he works with. He even gets to go swimming a couple times a week during lunch with a couple of the guys. Our new ward seems very nice and welcoming. Lyza had her first day in Primary. She is the youngest in her class and when I peeked in was the only one not sitting quietly in her seat :) I am feeling great, but am so excited to have my body back to myself and to hold that baby in my arms instead of cradling him in my overextended belly. We are coming to love San Antonio. The weather here is so fantastic. It has been kinda cold the past couple of weeks, but is already warming up again. We get enough rainy days to keep us Oregonians happy, and then it is just sunny days. Can't say I have any love for the summers here, but at least it only lasts four months. I will take that over 6 months of snow any day! Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday break!

Oh too funny! What an imp!! We are all going to be glad when Peter gets here!!! Miss you!
What a good laugh I just had! My favorites: "Um,no, try again," and "THREE weeks, Doctor."
Glad San Antonio is growing on you, that you're getting some rain, that you don't have six months of snow, and most of all THAT YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANY COCKROACHES!!!! That alone would sell me on the place. I'm knocking on wood for you, too.
Lyza is hilarious! I can't believe her wit. You must really be laughing all the time. I'm so excited for Peter to get here too! I think he'll be the relative that's closest in age to Michael. They'll be good little buddies :)
(p.s. I did get a nursing cover at a baby shower, but thanks for offering to make me one! If you think it's a good idea to have 2, I wouldn't turn it down)
oh, THAT GIRL! ditto on the last three comments. you have arrived! now it's Peter's turn.
ha! i love all of it. hard to believe you'll have a new born in a couple weeks! woooo hooooo!
So funny! I love the things little kids say. There's nothing better than that. Good luck with Peter!
