This is our first year for Christmas Craft time during G.C.!! We decided that we are going to make an advent calendar. Brian said the Halverson clan had a Christmas tree and each day you would put up a different tree decoration. Does anyone still have this so I can see what it looked like? I also went online and found a few cute ones I thought I might be able to recreate.
Elyza loves animals and I thought this would be her favorite one to play with, and it would be fun to make all the animals. It looks like everything is padded and I am not sure how to do that on so little pieces. Any ideas? Oh, and I love the palm trees!.jpg)
I thought this would be so fun to do for Elyza. It is a bit busy so I would try to tone it down a bit, but I think Elyza would love all the sequin sparklies on it. If anyone else has any ideas on calendars or stockings, I would love to see them!

not only did we have an advent calendar, but we had that EXACT advent calendar (top picture). where did you find the pattern??
looking at it closely i see that there are some minor differences...one is that ours went all the way to dec. 25. also, there were two santa faces. one lost an eye, so we always put the "winking" santa in the christmas eve pocket.
Cute, I got it at this website: http://www.christmasgiftgallery.com/felt-advent-calendarsa.htm
i have that advent calendar! i took pictures of all the old crafty things i rescued from Dad and planned to post about them today. so, i will! crazy timing. (insert twilight zone music)
How did they turn out? Can't wait to see! : )
Really cute ideas. We have 2 cute wooden countdown trees that we made years ago when one of the boys was in cub scouts. They just have little nails on them that you hang lifesavers on. The kids get to eat a lifesaver every day until Christmas. Duncan and Loren loved those. If I think about it, I'll take a picture and post it.
